aAa® Imposters On the Rise in the U.S.
aAa® analysis, started in 1950 by the late William A. Weeks, is considered by many to be the gold standard for dairymen seeking breeding advice. Accurate, unbiased and economical, it is used by these herds in 24 countries worldwide. aAa® analyzers are thoroughly trained, tested monthly and adhere to a strict code of conduct to insure that the dairymen for whom they work receive the best service possible.
In these difficult economic times, individuals impersonating aAa® analyzers are cropping up from Wisconsin to Texas, from Idaho to Utah to California, from Kansas to Ohio. Claiming to offer “aAa numbers” or “aAa analysis”, these imposters are not approved to use the aAa® registered trademark. Anyone can look at a cow and write numbers on a piece of paper, but only trained and tested aAa® approved analyzers can give dairymen the high level of accuracy their herds deserve.
If you are considering adding aAa® analysis to your breeding program, or if you are already using aAa®, be sure the person you hire is an aAa® approved analyzer. Do not be duped by an imposter. Only the following individuals are approved to use the aAa® trademark in the U.S.:
